A review looking for opportunities for improving regulation and enforcement, and simplifying the farming inspection regime in England was recently announced by Environment Secretary Michael Gove. The review will aim to address the current situation in which farmers may receive visits from up to five different bodies who all require similar information.

The review will run up until the end of the year.

There are currently no immediate plans for such a review to take place in Scotland.
