Professor Sarah Skerratt of Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) has been appointed to conduct research into the sustainability of rural communities with the Prince’s Countryside Fund. The research, entitled Recharging Rural, will make recommendations on the self sufficiency, viability and resilience of rural communities in rural areas to 2030 and beyond.

Skerratt will seek views from stakeholders through a series of workshops throughout the UK and a Call for Evidence in Spring 2018.
