The dairy world was rocked this week by news that the entire Monamore Herd is being dispersed. The herd, bred by Tom Kelly and family from Drogheda in Co Louth is one of the best known in Ireland.
With over 1,000 animals for sale, the dispersal will attract attention from not only Britain and Ireland, but across Europe. The high genetic merit herd, well known in IHFA circles, will be offered for sale in six auctions between now and next June.
