Kerry Group’s new chair took up her role without much fanfare in recent months.
Fiona Dawson replaced Tom Moran, former secretary general at the Department of Agriculture, at the end of April.
Dawson joined the board in 2022 and has had a chaired a number of internal committees.
She has over 30 years experience in the consumer food and beverage sector.
If you thought things were about to quieten down for Tom, you have another thing coming. He was appointed chair of the board of the Alliance Group, the New Zealand meat processor of which Dawn Meats bought a 65% stake prior to Christmas.
He is also chair of Our Food Roots, the body set up to bridge the disconnect between people and their understanding of food.
There’s to be a bit of board movement on that front in a couple of weeks’ time, too. And, to top it off, he is chair of the Public Appointments Service Board.
His term on that board ends in February 2027.
