The Dealer hears that Mary Lou McDonald was left unimpressed by recent commentary from Minister for Agriculture Martin Heydon on CAP.

The Sinn Féin leader twice referenced what she saw as apparent confusion from the Minister around CAP issues when speaking to the media at the Ploughing.

The Dealer is not convinced that the agriculture minister has yet turned out a performance that could be likened to those witnessed towards the end of ex-US president Joe Biden’s tenure.

But surely even the most astute minister could be given a pass for getting snowed under by the reams of acronyms and jargon CAP reform inevitably brings.
