Excitement is building ahead of Grass 2026, which takes place in Co Kilkenny in a fortnight’s time, and I see word of it has reached Spain. On Wednesday morning I noticed that Atlético Madrid had posted:

“We love the smell of freshly cut grass in the morning.” The Dealer loves it too, but I think cutting the grass in the Spanish team’s stadium was delayed as an inconvenience to their opponents Barcelona in the Champions League quarter final on Tuesday night. The Catalans had complained that the grass was too long.
