Philippines has approved Brazil to supply fresh and frozen bone-in and boneless beef, beef offal and fats (Manilla Times).

Tariffs of 30% on New Zealand sheepmeat exports to India will be removed following the signing of a trade deal this week.

UK – pork production increases

UK pigmeat production increased by 5.3% in Q1 2026 compared with Q1 2025 to 256,800 tonnes (AHDB/DEFRA).

USDA report that 19% of the spring wheat crop is planted, 26.9 percentage points behind last year’s pace of 28% and three percentage points behind the five-year average of 22%.
