A landmark 130ac non-residential farm on the banks of the Boyne will be auctioned later this month. Located at Rathnally, it is less than 2km from Trim and is situated very close to Meath GAA’s Centre of Excellence at Dunganny. Listed with Navan-based Raymond Potterton & Co, it is prime fertile Co Meath land and is being offered for sale in three lots.

Prime land most of Lot 2 has been used for tillage.

Lot 1 contains 43ac and is north of the R161 and it shares a boundary with Trim air strip. It is in two large fields with mature trees and hedgerows on the boundary. Mainly used for grazing, within this lot there is a parcel of land dedicated to habitat under an agri-environmental scheme. In accordance with scheme requirements, it cannot be cut before 1 September each year. A stable block with four boxes is located close to the roadside at the eastern end of the land.

Lot 2 contains 85.3ac that is sandwiched between the River Boyne and the R161 road. It has predominantly been used for tillage and is excellent quality land with about 12ac close to the river bank which contains some wooded areas. A six-box stable block can be found in this lot.

The balance of the land, a 2.5ac grass field located on the northern side of the road is offered as Lot 3.

On Lots 1 and 2 there are stable blocks.
