A bumper auction taking place on 1 July at the Woodlands Hotel, Adare, Co Limerick will see four Golden Vale farms going under the hammer.

The event, which marks auctioneer Tom Crosse’s 40th year with GVM, features a catalogue of properties with appeal to a variety of buyers.

Elton, Knocklong, Co Limerick: Headlining the auction is a 220ac residential farm available in two lots

Guided at €1.8m, Lot 1 comprises of 145ac of prime land along with a four-bedroom house and farmyard.

Lot 2 is guided at €1m and includes 75ac of land with a derelict house on-site, indicating potential for redevelopment, which would be subject to planning.

The farm at Elton, Knocklong, Co Limerick includes a four-bedroom house.

Newboro Villa, Patrickswell, Co Limerick:

Also going under the hammer is Newboro Villa, a two-storey character property on 17ac, guided in excess of €550,000.

While requiring refurbishment, the house is likely to qualify for the Vacant Property Refurbishment Grant (VPRG).

Laid out in large blocks, the land is suitable for a range of uses, and benefits from good road frontage.

Clounanna, Patrickswell, Co Limerick:

Located five minutes from Newboro Villa is a 102ac Clounanna farm.

Buyers can bid on two lots: Lot 1, a 49.5ac parcel of fattening land with road frontage, guided at €750,000; and Lot 2, a 52.5ac parcel of mixed land with some low-lying ground, guided at €500,000.
