There were 80 cows on offer, with a good mix of well-fleshed and parlour cows. Younger cows, especially those carrying a bit extra flesh, were particularly sought after – selling for up to €1.42/kg. Heavier suckler cows in good condition were making from €1.50/kg up to €1.68/kg, while older sucklers or those in need of extra feeding were in the €1.20 /kg to €1.30/kg range. Overall, cow prices ranged from €100 under, up to €555 over the €/kg.

Bullocks
The bullock supply was limited, as is to be expected for a January sale. Spring 2015-born Angus and Hereford crosses sold for anywhere from €1.90/kg up to €2.01/kg, while a few cent more per kilo could be got for 2016-born stock.
