The ringside was packed as damp weather conditions didn’t allow for much farm activity, with 2016-born Angus and Hereford bullocks dominating the numbers, with a smaller selection of Friesians available.
Lighter store bullocks were making from €1.95/kg to €2.11/kg for Angus and Herefords, with most Friesians selling for between €1.60/kg and €1.88/kg. Age and number of movements had an effect on some of the lots of forward stores, with most selling for between €1.70/kg and €1.90/kg for most dairy and dairy-cross bullocks.
Continentals were scarce and they made up to €2.28/kg for forwards stores. Overall, Friesians sold for between €200 and €605 with their weight. Traditional beef-crosses made between €380 and €600 over the euro per kilo, while continentals made between €450 and €750 along with their weight.
