The Global Dairy Trade (GDT) price index has dropped by a further 2.8% to an average price of €3,428/t.

Reductions were seen in all products except lactose, which rose by 4.2% or €1,466/t.

Skim milk powder decreased 3.6% to €2,902/t and whole milk powder was back 3.1% on the price index to €3,092/t.

Butter was also back 2.4% to a value of €4,752/t.

Cheddar dropped in value by 3.4% to €3,852/t.

Mozzarella saw the biggest drop, a decrease of 5% to €3,231/t. Anhydrous milk fat dropped in value by 1%, with an average price of €5,687/t.
