With the Irish-bred stallion Ardcolum Duke, Billy was successful in a 1.45m speed event, while Thomas and Caribo came first in Sunday’s Speed championship.

Ardcolum Duke is by Gypsy Duke out of a Clover Hill dam and was bred by Joe Flynn in Roscommon.

There was no luck for the Irish in Sunday’s €250,000 Grand Prix which was won by last-to-go Gregory Wathelet on the Holsteiner stallion Conrad de Hus by Con Air.
