Northern Irish manufacturer Erth Engineering, best known for its Panbuster subsoiler and Agriseeder direct drills, has expanded its portfolio with the launch of the new Panbuster drill aimed for sowing cereals.

The new machine combines design elements from both the Panbuster and Agriseeder ranges, with Erth claiming low draft requirements and reduced operating costs.

Currently available only in a 3m working width (larger to follow), the drill features five main working elements.

These include an optional front-opening disc, followed by Panbuster low-disturbance legs and a consolidation roller.

At the rear is a familiar single-disc coulter system with 20 spung discs and coulters, configured to offer 150mm row spacing.

Unlike the near-vertical subsoiler legs used by most competitors at the event, Erth says its angled leg design is key to maintaining a low draft requirement of around 150hp. Subsoiling and drilling depth are controlled via the roller unit.
