Hennessy Auctioneers’ monthly online machinery auction took place on Saturday 21 February, where a 2013 JCB 541-70 Agri Super Loadall with 7,995 hours topped the sale at €28,000, plus VAT and commission.
A total of 985 lots were catalogued, some of which sold separately in the timed online auction which closed on Monday morning.

With just over 1,650 registered bidders tuned in, the trade was described by Hennessys as strong as ever for clean equipment despite it being a very busy period on most livestock farms.
After the JCB Loadall, the next-highest sale price was €24,500 plus VAT, which was paid for a 2007 New Holland TS115A showing 7,916 hours and fitted with an MX front loader.

This was followed by a 2018 Komatsu PC80 eight-tonne digger with 5,500 hours which sold for €23,000 plus VAT; a 2011 McCormick CX110 fitted with Trima front loader and showing 5,003 hours sold for €22,250; a 2002 JCB 530-70 Loadall which sold at 18,250 plus VAT; a 2008 Bredal K65 trailed fertiliser spreader which sold at €16,000 plus VAT; and a 1994 JCB Fastrac 155-65 sold for €14,500.
An unused Kenwell 14-tonne dump trailer sold at €11,250 plus VAT; a 24ft converted aluminium tipping lorry trailer sold for €10,000; a Tuffmac 13ft tipping trailer with bale extension sold for €8,800; and a 2018 Suzuki Kingquad 500 quad sold for €8,100.

Only lots listed as ‘plus VAT’ were subject to VAT. Commission was charged at 5% on top of the prices quoted and subject to a maximum fee of €1,000/item. Hennessy Auctioneers’ next sale will take place on Saturday 21 March.
