Hennessy Auctioneers finished its 2021 auction campaign on a high, with its December sale attracting a total of 773 registered online bidders, the firm’s highest number of online bidders yet.
The auction took place on Saturday 18 December on the Livestock Live (LSL) platform. As usual, entries included the usual variety of used farm machinery, tools, plant and other farming equipment.
Over 88% of the 462 lots catalogued were said to have been sold on the day.

Ciaran Hennessy of the Laois based auctioneering firm said: “Demand remains strong for all types of machinery, especially the well-minded examples. This auction in particular, seemed to attract quite a bit of interest from the UK.”
Prices for lots had no VAT unless otherwise stated and were subject to commission. Commission was charged at 5% plus 23% VAT (on commission only) with a maximum chargeable fee of €1,000 plus VAT.
The next auction is scheduled to take place Saturday 22 January.
