Vogelsang launched a larger version of its XSplit screw press separator at Agritechnica last week. The new XSplit XS30-80 offers a throughput of up to 175 cubic metres per hour, giving it the title of the German firm’s new flagship XSplit offering.
The design of the XS30-80 features a modular, three-part sieve, which Vogelsang says makes the larger model easy to maintain because only the worn parts need to be replaced, rather than the whole separating unit. Vogelsang’s VarioAdjust hydraulic adjustment system means the contact pressure can be adjusted during operation, allowing the operator to set the dry matter content more easily.
The XS30-80 joins the existing range of XSplit separators which includes both fixed and trailer mounted models and the XSplit Compact.
“The new XS30-80 has been developed for larger farms and biogas operations to enable high volumes of slurry and digestate to be processed faster and more efficiently. We now have an XSplit to fit all farm sizes. The Compact is firmly aimed at smaller farms and offers flexibility at an entry level price. The XSplit can be fixed or provided on a purpose-built trailer for contractors and farms with multiple sites,” explains Vogelsang’s Andy Hayhurst.
It’s understood the new model will be available towards the end of 2026.
XSplit Compact
The XSplit Compact stationary system solution was also on show at the stand for the first time. The solution combines separator, pump and control technology in one space-saving unit, and it is designed for contractors and cross-company use in small and medium-sized businesses.
One of the advantages is that only one pump is taking over supply and discharge which saves space, energy and maintenance costs. The XSplit Compact enables solid/liquid separation of slurry and digestate.
Also available in the smaller unit, the VarioAdjust hydraulic adjustment system is featured, where the contact pressure can be adjusted during operation – to set the dry matter content based on requirements.
