Cavan machinery dealer Pratt Agri is set to exhibit the Chinese-built YTO tractor range at this year’s National Ploughing Championships, following its recent appointment as Irish distributor for the brand.

Pratt Agri will showcase the 115hp NLY1154 alongside the smaller 70hp NMF704C, which will be fitted with a front loader. Like its other native manufacturers, YTO aims to offer a simple, mechanically focused tractor range at competitive prices. The company has significant in-house manufacturing capability, producing engines, transmissions, axles and other major components. However, some components are sourced from outside suppliers.

The NLY1154 is powered by a 4.3l, four-cylinder turbocharged engine producing a maximum 115hp. It is paired with a 12F/12R mechanical shuttle transmission, while rear linkage lift capacity is approximately 2,950kg.

The smaller NMF704C uses a 2.4l, four-cylinder turbocharged Doosan engine producing 70hp. This is coupled to a 12F/12R mechanical shuttle transmission, with rear lift capacity of approximately 1,400kg. Standard specification on both tractors includes electro-hydraulic rear linkage controls, a Dromone pickup hitch and two rear spool valves. Pricing for the NMF704C starts at €29,950 plus VAT.

In addition to tractors, YTO manufactures diesel engines, harvesting equipment and other agri machinery. The company traces its manufacturing roots back to 1955 and claims to have produced more than 3.6m tractors to date, ranging from 24hp to 300hp.

Pratt Agri is a sister company of Cavan Autotrac, formerly Clive Pratt Garages. The business is a main dealer for Deutz-Fahr, Isuzu commercial vehicles and Tenías loaders, as well as the Irish distributor for the VST compact tractors. More recently, the business has expanded its operations to include an online parts store, supplying parts for a wide range of tractor and machinery brands.
