Erth Engineering to exhibit entire range

Erth Engineering will be showcasing its latest developments, including its Panbuster Drill, its E-Series Agriseeder direct drill, its latest panbuster, aerator and its range of drills at this year’s event.

Up front and centre will be the Panbuster Drill. The new machine combines the manufacturer’s two most well-known products, the Panbuster subsoiler and Agriseeder drill. The new Panbuster drill has been designed to sow cereals. It combines design elements from both the Panbuster and Agriseeder ranges, with Erth claiming it has a low draft requirement and reduced operating costs. Currently only in a 3m working width, Erth says larger models will follow suit. The drill features five main working elements.

These include an optional front-opening disc, followed by the proven Panbuster low-disturbance legs and a consolidation roller. At the rear is a familiar single-disc coulter system, with 20 spung discs and coulters, configured to offer 150mm row spacing.

Unlike the near-vertical subsoiler legs used by most competitors, Erth says its angled leg design is key to maintaining a low draft requirement of around 150hp. Subsoiling and drilling depth are controlled via the roller unit.

Erth will also show its more basic farmer-spec Agriseeder, with mechanical metering. The Agriseeder direct drill enables farmers to establish crops with minimal soil disturbance, compared to traditional inversion methods. Erth also offers three, four and five-leg variations of its Panbuster subsoiler and will be a range of displaying models at the event.
