In January, UK-based firm Hawk Plant Hire went into administration. The Hawk Group was one of the largest independent plant hire companies in the UK. Last week, Euro Auctions (based in Dromore, Co Tyrone) hosted a disposal sale of the firm’s agricultural assets, which amounted to over 2,000 lots. The sale took place over two days.

This 2011 registered New Holland T6050 tractor came with front and cab suspension, four spool valves and A/C. It sold for €35,242 (£30,000).

This Bailey 16 tonne twin axle trailer equipped with a sprung drawbar, hydraulic back door, and air brakes was manufactured in 2015. It sold for €18,157 (£15,500).

This 2017 Richard Western 16 tonne trailer with air brakes, a sprung drawbar and a hydraulic rear door sold for €16,986 (£14,500).

Over 1,000 machinery enthusiasts flocked to the site to witness the two-day monster auction. The auction included 130 tractors, with 119 of these tractors being made up of both M and R series John Deeres, all of which were registered between 2016 and 2018. Other tractors up for grabs included JCB Fastracs and New Hollands.

This Conor 2750R vacuum tanker with a sprung drawbar and a reversing camera was built in 2014. It sold for €10,543 (£9,000).

This 2016 CAT 313FLGC excavator on 700mm pads with a quick hitch, aux. piping and a reversing camera sold for €52,772 (£45,000).

This 2015 registered JCB 3230-65 Fastrac with front linkage, front and rear suspension, four spool valves, air brakes and A/C sold for €69,190 (£59,000).

This 2015 JCB 536-60 Agri T4I turbo powershift telehandler had Joystick Controls, PUH, A/C, and a quick hitch which was fitted with pallet forks. It sold for €44,616) (£38,000).

    This Richard Western 16 tonne silage trailer air brakes, a sprung drawbar and a hydraulic rear door was built in 2014. It sold for €18,743 (£16,000).

    This 2017 registered John Deere 6175R was Greenstar ready and had a 50K Auto Quad transmission, front weight, TLS, cab suspension, three Spool Valves, and air brakes. It sold for €89,258 (£76,000).

    This JCB 535-95 Agri Super telehandler, registered in 2017 and fitted with a powershift transmission came with joystick controls, PUH, WLI, A/C, and pallet forks. It sold for €66,774 (£57,000).

    This 2016 registered John Deere 6175R c/w 50K Auto Power transmission, front linkage, front weight, TLS, cab suspension, four spool valves and air brakes. It sold for €90,456 (£77,000).

    This 2016 registered John Deere 6155R c/w 50K Auto Quad transmission, a Quicke Q76 front loader, TLS, cab suspension, three spool valves and air brakes. It sold for €66,961 (£57,000).

    This 2016 registered John Deere 6155R had a 50K Auto Power transmission, front linkage and PTO, TLS, cab suspension, three spool valves and air brakes, It sold for €91,631 (£78,000).

    This 2016 registered John Deere 6145R came with a 50K Auto Quad transmission, front weight, TLS, cab suspension, three spool valves, air brakes and A/C. It sold for €75,184 (£64,000).

    This 2014 registered Case Puma 215 had front linkage, front and cab suspension, air brakes, four spool valves and A/C. It sold for €44,641 (£38,000).
