Tipperary New Holland dealer M&S Machinery, based in Cashel, will showcase a broad range of machinery at this year’s Ploughing. Not only will the dealership showcase a range of New Holland tractors and construction machines, but it will also debut the Japanese Sumitomo brand, which it has recently become main agent of.

Sumitomo is a long-standing manufacture of excavators and asphalt pavers, with previous manufacturing ties to the JCB brand.

Tractors set to be present include a T6.180 Blue Power, T7.230, T7.260 and a T7.270 model.

Also on the jam-packed stand will be an extensive range of New Holland wheel loaders and skid steers. Models will include the W50C, and W100D wheel loaders, alongside an L318 and L334 wheeled skid-steer and the range-topping C345 tracked skid-steer model.

The W100D was introduced last year to sit between the W80 and W110D models.

The New Holland B115D backhoe loader and a TH7.42 telehandler will also be on display.

The W100D is a recently launched model, introduced to bridge the gap between the upper range of compact wheel loaders and the lower range of full-sized wheel loaders. It is positioned midway between current W80 and W110D, in terms of operating weight and tipping load. It offers a maximum operating weight of 8,970kg, 50% more than the W80C. Meanwhile, the maximum tipping load is 6,500kg (full turn), 66% more than the W80C. Underneath the bonnet is a 3.6l FPT NEF engine, which produces 112hp. It is married up to a two-speed hydrostatic transmission, available in 20km/h and 40km/h variants.

Alongside a T6.180 Blue Power model, there will be a range of T7 tractors on display.

The new 9t model features a new cab, with increased room and a larger windscreen. A raft of boom automation features is now available, along with an eco-mode and cruise control function.

Sumitomo

M&S will debut three Sumitomo excavator models to the Irish public, the SH80 (8t), SH145 (14.5t) and SH220 (22t). Under the bonnet, the range is equipped with proven components, including Isuzu engines and Kawasaki hydraulic pumps.

A standout feature on its latest Dash-7 machines is the Sumitomo Intelligent Hydraulic System (SIHIS), which according to the manufacturer is engineered to optimise hydraulic efficiency, reduce energy loss and minimise unnecessary fuel burn, while achieving up to 15% lower fuel consumption when compared with previous models.
