The Kverneland Group is expanding its forage and crop residue management portfolio with the new Kverneland Tersus 4000 flail mulcher.

Designed for tractors around 150hp, the Tersus 4000 features a streamlined headstock, a central body gearbox with a flexible cardan shaft, a top transmission and direct side-belt tensioning for intensive use.

Designed to handle grass, crop residues, and biomass, Kverneland says that reinforced drivetrain components minimise the risk of breakdowns, reducing downtime. It can be fitted with hammer or universal Y flails

The Tersus 4000 comes in three variants of different working widths. Starting with the 2.35m Tersus 4023 for compact operations, then onto the 2.80m Tersus 4028 and finally the 3.25m Tersus 4032 for high-output coverage.

Kverneland says that all models are suitable for tractors from 80 to 170hp and are equipped with a 500mm hydraulic side shift as standard, allowing more precise work along field edges.
