This year’s Ploughing saw the Irish debut of the Tuchel Farmprofi self-propelled cubicle sweeper and bedding dispenser.

Exhibited by Irish Tuchel distributor, Anner Agri, the latest Farmprofi model joins the German manufacturer's existing Mini, Farmexpert and Trio models, all of which are now well proven on the market. The new model is said to be a competitively priced alternative to its Bobman and Q-bed machines.

Standard features of the Farmprofi include a 10.7hp Hatz air-cooled diesel engine, power steering and a three-wheel-drive transmission. At the business end, it is equipped with a large 85cm hydraulic brush, 130cm scraper and a 250l rear hopper.

Bedding is dispensed by a variable-speed conveyor, which Tuchel says allows for an even spread with minimal dust. All functions are hydraulically driven via the onboard 25l/min hydraulic pump. A range of attachments is available for the Farmprofi, including a feed pusher, radial brush, weed brush, snow plough and road brush. The unit is priced at €22,000 including VAT.
