The valuable tractor and McHale baler stolen last weekend from an out-farm in Rhode, Co Offaly, was recovered by gardaí in Kilbeggan on Tuesday.

The tractor was a 2007 John Deere 7530, while the bailer was a 2013 McHale 5500.

Gardaí have reminded farmers to ensure that valuable machinery is secured, as there continues to be ongoing theft reported in rural areas.
