The Supreme Champion heifer stole the spotlight, topping the trade and selling for an impressive £9,250 at the Clogher Christmas Show and Sale on Wednesday 26 November.

A packed ringside and strong online bidding saw quality cattle meet exceptional demand, with a 92% clearance rate achieved.

The event featured over 50 cattle, including Limousin, Belgian Blue and Charolais genetics.

Breeding heifers were in hot demand, with the Reserve Champion, a March 2025-born Belgian Blue-bred heifer weighing 350 kg, selling for £5,400 (£15.43/kg).

The Supreme Calf Champion went to a 420 kg January 2025-born pedigree Limousin bull calf, sired by Millgate Rob, which sold for £5,080 (£12.10/kg).

A special entry on the night was a breeding heifer from Holy Trinity College, Cookstown. This was part of their agricultural club’s efforts to fund future trips and promote agriculture throughout the school.

The February 2024-born Limousin-bred roan heifer, weighing 690 kg, sold for £4,250 (£6.16/kg).

A charity auction was also part of the evening, supporting Dementia NI. Local businesses generously donated over 30 lots.
