A range of dates and venues have been made available this autumn for farmers who have signed up for the Soil Nutrient Health Scheme (SNHS), but who are yet to complete the associated training.

The face-to-face training is being delivered by Dungannon-based Countryside Services Ltd starting from Tuesday 1 September at the Millbrook Lodge in Ballynahinch.

While that first session is now fully booked, there are various other options listed in Table 1.

Pre-booking is essential and farmers must bring along photographic ID to the event.

The alternative is to do the training online and this can be accessed via www.cafre.ac.uk/snhs-training.

Either way, farmers must get the training completed by May 2027 as it is a condition of farm payments from next year onwards.

Those who haven’t signed up to the scheme and completed the training will have 10% deducted from their Farm Sustainability Payment in 2027, increasing to a 15% deduction thereafter.
