The department has received 15 requests under Freedom of Information (FOI) legislation relating to its actions in and around the cull of 51 cattle on a farm near Fivemiletown at the end of June.
Only one request was provided with some information, after DAERA released a redacted copy of a deprivation order dated 8 June. Issued by Dungannon Magistrates Court, it effectively ordered that the defendant be deprived of ownership of his cattle. Names, addressed and herd numbers in the order were blanked out.
Information in the other 14 requests was denied to protect the integrity of the external review being done by former Irish chief vet, Dr Martin Blake.
