The Ulster Farmers’ Union (UFU) has begun a process to recruit a new CEO after the current incumbent, Wesley Aston confirmed his intention to retire by the end of March 2026.
Anyone interested in the role should submit a CV and covering letter by 22 August.
The CEO reports to the UFU board and must have essential skills across various areas to include financial management, strategic planning and various forms of communication.
The job description also refers to the need for “unquestionable integrity and ethical standards” as well as being “a passionate advocate for agricultural communities”.
