The Dealer was delighted to hear that Teagasc soils and slurry researcher Stan Lalor recently received his PhD, so he is now officially ‘Dr Stan’. He received his doctorate from the University of Wageningen on 8 January, having submitted his thesis – Cattle slurry on grassland – application methods and nitrogen use efficiency.

The well-known researcher has already contributed significantly to Irish research and nutrition advice from his Teagasc base in Johnstown Castle. Well done Stan!
