JBS, the world’s largest beef processor based in Brazil, has announced the sale of some of its largest assets including Northern Ireland poultry processor Moy Park.Grain prices are currently undergoing a welcome lift. Glanbia made an offer on Tuesday 20 June, which is €5/t to €6/t higher than its last offer.The Global Dairy Trade price index had its first negative result since March on Tuesday as it decreased by 0.8% to an average selling price of $3,434.The brother of a farmer accused of shooting another farmer over a right of way linking their lands has lodged a €3,000 surety to have the accused released on bail.A 20-year lease is up for grabs on the grassland farm, located at Laragan, Elphin, Co Roscommon, which has housing for 1,000 cattle.Photo of the day
