Farmers recycling waste tyres at the old Albatross Fertiliser plant in New Ross, Co Wexford, have reported that by mid-morning things were quite orderly but extremely busy. One farmer said that the queue snaking up and down the yard was "like Disneyland".
Queues have been kept off the road so far as the Albatross site is very extensive.

Traffic coming from north Wexford has been diverted around the New Ross ring road.
IFFPG Farm Plastics announced last week that the venue had been moved from New Ross mart in order to deal with the expected numbers. It will be open until 5pm this evening.
There was a 2.5km tailback reported in Cootehill, Co Cavan at a tyre recycling event last month.
