Stephen is operating a strict protocol with his clients to ensure social distancing. All relevant information about sire choice and cow numbers are shared via text message beforehand, so when Stephen arrives on a farm he finds all cows to be served have been segregated and he can do his job without having to meet anybody. \ Donal O’ Leary

First cut of silage has been completed on the Walsh farm in Co Tipperary
North Tipperary IFA chair Imelda Walsh and her husband Tom farm 200 acres at Barbaha, Ballywilliam, Nenagh, Co Tipperary, 10 acres of which is in forestry. The Walshes are fifth-generation dairy farmers, milking 90 British Friesian cows. Angus and Hereford heifers are taken to beef.
