Chile – poultry production up

United States Department of Agriculture reports that chicken production in Chile will increase to 740,000t ready to cook (RTC) weight, up from 720,000t RTC in 2025.

New Zealand – milk production higher

New Zealand milk production in July was 0.65% higher than July 2024 at 312,000t (302.9m litres), with year-to-date production up 1.4% (DCA).

China – US factories delisted

Five more US beef factories have had their licenses for export to China removed, including three from Tyson Foods and two from Swift beef (WBR).

Mexico – screwworm cases increase

The number of new world screwworm cases in Mexico stood at 5,086 infestations on 17 August, a 53% increase on July (WBR).
