Netherlands – FrieslandCampina acquisition

Dutch dairy processor FrieslandCampina havs targeted the purchase of Wisconsin Whey protein in the US, subject to regulator approval.

New Zealand – sheepmeat exports increase

Sheepmeat exports in October were up 10% compared with October 2024 to 27,239 tonnes and the value increased by 48% to NZ$390m (€192m).

Philippines – Milk powder imports

USDA forecasts that Philippines whole milk powder imports will remain flat in 2026 at 20,000 tonnes following a big 18% increase in 2025.

Australia – farm profit forecast

The ABARES December report forecasts that the average Australian farm income for 2025/26 will increase by AUS$67,000 (€37,853) to AUS$227,000 (€128,248).
