ABIEC – which represents Brazil’s beef exporters – reports that 800kg of beef was served to guests at its stand during the recent Gulfood trade show.

New Zealand – milk solids levy vote

Voting starts next week for dairy farmers on retention of the milk solids levy that funds DairyNZ. A vote is taken every six years.

UK – pig production cost

The AHDB reports that in Q4 2025, pig production cost was estimated at 190p/kg (218c/kg) deadweight, leaving a margin of £10.32 (€11.86) per pig.

Uruguay – lamb prices increase

Factory prices paid for lambs increased again last week to $4.70/kg (€4.00/kg), with just over 10,000 head processed, down almost 1,700 on the previous week (INAC/WBR).
