China – pork production increase

Pigmeat production in China increased by 4.2% in quarter one of 2026 to 16.69m tonnes, with 200.26m pigs processed, an increase of 2.8% (WBR/Reuters).

Britain – record milk production

The AHDB reports that milk production in Britain increased by 5% in marketing year 2025/26 to 13.02bn litres, the highest volume ever recorded for a marketing year

Paraguay – soybean production estimate

USDA has increased its soybean production estimate for marketing year 2025/26 to 12.1m tonnes, an 11% increase due to favourable weather and strong yields.

Canada – beef imports forecast

The USDA has revised its forecast for Canada’s beef imports in 2026 to 320,000 tonnes, some 15,000t more than the December forecast.
