USA – beef factory investigation

US acting attorney general Todd Blanche said this week in an update that so far prosecutors have reviewed more than 3m documents in ongoing antitrust investigation of beef factories.

Germany – cheese consumption

Research by the German dairy industry association shows that Germans consumed on average 26.4kg of cheese per person in 2025, 900g more than in 2024 and a new record.

Australia - high exports to UK

Australia exported 2,790 tonnes of beef to the UK in April, the highest monthly total since the trade agreement with the UK came into effect in 2023.

Indonesia – Import license requirement

USDA reports that Indonesia has introduced a requirement for soyabean meal, wheat for feed and broken rice for feed to have an import license.
