Over the three-day festival, they’re putting on plenty of fun and entertainment, with the chance to win great prizes, meet their suppliers and much more.

On Tuesday, the 2019 winners of Grow with Aldi will be announced – the supermarket’s development programme aimed at helping smaller Irish food and drink suppliers get their products on Aldi’s shelves.

On Wednesday, Aldi Play Rugby ambassador Paul O’Connell will be dropping by to help Aldi celebrate its 20 years in Ireland and promote the Aldi Play Rugby programme for primary schools across the country.

On Thursday, the finals of the national brown bread and junior baking competitions will take place, hosted by Síle Seoige, with the winners announced at the end of the day.

Every day there’ll be plenty more to see and do too – including meeting a few of Aldi’s Irish suppliers, sampling their multi-award-winning Irish products and even the chance to pitch your own product for Grow with Aldi 2020.

With face painting and balloon making, there’s lots for the kids to do - and if you all fancy becoming TV stars, Aldi is also holding auditions to find their next Swap & Save families!

Ploughing 2019 takes place at Ballintrane, Fenagh, Co Carlow, from September 17 to 19.
