Glanbia will pay its members €160/t for green feed barley and €181/t for green feed wheat for harvest 2020.
The co-op will also pay €187/t for malting barley and €170/t for contracted winter barley.
It will pay €207/t for standard food grade oats, €221/t for gluten-free oats, €170/t for contracted equine oats and €150/t for feed oats.
The co-op will pay €375/t for oilseed rape and €403/t for High Erucic Acid Rapeseed (HEAR) oilseed rape. It will pay €210 /t for beans.
All prices listed above are exclusive of VAT.
These prices include a co-op support payment of €5/t and standard transport allowance for delivery to drying locations.
The prices are also inclusive of the 2020 trading bonus scheme of €10/t for members’ grain subject to minimum tillage input purchases.
Challenging year
Commenting on the announcement, Glanbia co-op chair John Murphy said: “Glanbia Ireland and Glanbia Co-op recognise the weather-related hardships that our grain growers have faced over a challenging year."
“This is reflected in the pricing, the level of co-op support and the intensive strategic work to deliver premium contracts and create new markets for the quality Irish grain supplied by our dedicated growers,” he added.
