Kerry Dairy Ireland has reduced its July milk price to 45.29c/l, excluding VAT.

When quality and sustainability bonuses are included, the price stands at 46.65c/l excluding VAT.

“Global dairy markets are shifting toward a supply-heavy position, with relatively strong milk output across key production regions outpacing demand growth,” a spokesperson for Kerry said.

“This imbalance is putting some downward pressure on commodity prices.”

Lakeland

On Wednesday, Lakeland Dairies announced it had cut its July milk price by 1c/l.

It will pay a base milk price of 45.43c/l excluding VAT, rising to 45.91c/l when the sustainability payment is included.

“Market prices have declined over the last three to four weeks, driven by a steady increase in global milk supplies and softening demand amid ongoing trade and geopolitical tensions.

“Lakeland Dairies will continue to monitor the markets and will endeavour to support our farmers with the best milk price possible in line with market conditions,” a spokesperson said.
