Dairy prices increased by 6.3% at Tuesday’s Global Dairy Trade (GDT) auction to an average of €3,029/t.

Butter prices were up 3.8% to average €4,463/t, while cheddar prices increased by 0.6% to land just shy of the €4,000/t mark.

There was a lift across all products, with powder prices also on the up this week.

Whole milk powder prices rose 7.2% to an average of €2,921/t and the skim milk powder price index was up 5.4% to an average of €2,298/t.

Butter milk powder prices were up 5.1% to average €2,595/t.

This is the first time that prices have increased at the GDT since August 2025.
