The biggest country music night of the year will be staged on 25 August at Cahir House Hotel in Co Tipperary. This annual venture brings together an array of names from the circuit for what has become a great night of country music.
Caroline Walshe from Cappawhite, Co Tipperary, is the lady behind this big night, with the proceeds in support of Crumlin’s Children Hospital in Dublin and the Cappawhite Day Centre in Cappawhite.
“I have so many friends among the artists on the country circuit and they have been brilliant in supporting this annual dance,” says Caroline.
“I have moved it from its traditional spot in early September to the 25 August this year. The night always attracts a full house and I am so grateful to all the artists who provide their services free of charge for these special causes. People come from all over the country to the big night in Cahir House Hotel and they look forward to meeting their friends year after year. There is great interest in the show again this year and we are again looking forward to a capacity crowd.”
The Ryan Turner Band will once again provide the music for the artists on the night. Among the guests confirmed are Gerry Guthrie, Lisa McHugh, Lee Matthews, Crystal Swing, Gloria, Simon Casey, Shane Owens, Kathy Crinion, Damien Bowe, The Davitts Band, Lorraine and Keith McDonald, Trevor Loughrey, Paul Kelly, Patrick and Conor O’Sullivan, Simon Peters, Kayleigh Cullinane and the Celtic Blondes. The compere will be Mossie Richardson from Tipperary Mid West Radio.
The show starts at 8pm and tickets cost €20. For further information, contact Cahir House Hotel on 052-7444000.
