Based near Bunclody in Co Wexford, Danso Machinery has been the main importer of Rinieri for the last seven years. This partnership has mainly revolved around importing heavy-duty flail mowers and hedge-trimmers. The company is set to display a number of new machines at this year’s Ploughing in Carlow.
New blade head
The first new implement to be unveiled is a blade-type head, which is based on the existing Rinieri BRM150 fingerbar hedge-trimmer – a popular unit in Ireland.
This new blade-type head can be fitted on to the existing BRM 150 frame. The head is a set of three high-speed rotating blades, similar to a lawn mower deck. These blades will cut clean and come with the added advantage that they will mulch the clippings, something the previous head did not do.
The model that will be displayed has independent PTO, electro-hydraulic joystick control, oil cooler and auto levelling.
Tree pruner
Designed to be mounted on a tractor weight frame or front loader, it consists of 12 rotating saw blades – six vertical and six horizontal. This allows the machine to cut both the side and the top of the trees in one pass.
The individual blades are belt driven and the machine is controlled by an electro-hydraulic joystick. The market for this machine is primarily apple orchards but it can be used for shelter belts and other tree-trimming.
