In pictures: Highlights from the SIMA 2015 Show in Paris
Spring time in Paris and a visit to the SIMA show. Last week I got the opportunity to visit the new Claas tractor testing facility and attend the SIMA show.
Fendt launched the 1050, the 500hp tractor is the biggest standard tractor on the market. AGCO confirmed that Fendt will always be the company’s premium tractor for innovation and design. The tractor features a new X5 S cab that gives more room for the operator with greater comfort levels according to Fendt. The Agco engine is tier 4 final and the tractor features the fully integrated Fendt variotronic transmission with a top speed of 60 k/hr.
Mcormick has now a CVT transmission in the X7 tractor range from 143hp to 212hp. All five models use the ZF Eccom continuously variable transmission with McCormick control software and hardware to provide a full selection of operating modes to suit different field work and road transport situations. The Kverneland Fastbale was the concept of an Irish man and developed at the Group’s baler centre at Ravenna, Italy. Kverneland claims this combination unit is the world’s only non-stop fixed chamber baler and the only non-stop fixed chamber baler wrapper combination. The new Kuhn Espro seed drill is developed been developed for high working speeds and low hp requirement, Kuhn claim with a 6m drill, it is possible to work at speeds of 13kph with 200hp or 35hp per meter.

John Deere is introducing the new five-walker W330 and six-walker W440 entry level combine harvesters for the 2015 season. Reliability and simplicity at a low operating cost, claim John Deere is the key attributes of this range of combines. The new range of combines are the result of a marketing agreement with Finnish manufacturer Sampo Rosenlew, and feature 210 and 238hp Sisu engines with maximum power ratings of 216 and 253hp.

New Holland introduced the updated T7 series of tractors, featuring the new FPT 6.7 litre engine complient with tier for final emmision regulations.
