Kverneland has just added the new 5395 plain butterfly mowers to its offering. Fitted with the firm’s own well-known QuattroLink suspension system, it offers a 9.5m working width and a non-conditioner design. The QuattroLink system features a four-arm suspension offering a vertical working range of 400mm upwards and 300mm downwards, as well as a transverse range of 30° to follow challenging terrain.

The 5395 is equipped with a NonStop BreakBack system, which provides full coverage across the working width of the mower. This allows the mower to automatically move backward and up if it comes into contact with an obstacle. For added convenience, the outer guards can be folded up/down hydraulically (optional) from the cab. The mower also features stable parking feet for vertical storage during the off-season.

New front-mounted plain disc mowers

The new 2800 F series mark a refreshment of the proven series of front-mounted plain mowers from Kverneland. New generation updates include direct tractor coupling without the need for an A-frame and a stronger driveline. By adding a new 3.6m version to the range, the 2800 F series is now available in three working widths, 2.8m, 3.2m and 3.6m. In addition to offering more capacity, the Kverneland 2836 F also provides additional overlap when operating the mower in combination with a butterfly mower.

The mowing unit moves independently from the tractor front linkage and has a range of travel of 430mm upwards and 210mm downwards. Additionally, it offers a transverse pivoting range of 17°. The integrated NonStop BreakBack system protects mower and cutterbar if it encounters obstacles in the field. It allows the mower to move backwards and up, letting the obstacle pass without damage.

The new range comes with a two-speed driveline with simple adjustment of PTO speed from the standard setting of 1,000rpm. By switching driveline pulleys, PTO speed can be changed to 750rpm. Hydraulic folding of side guards are available as option.
