Among its first viewing within the country was the new McCormick X50.50 with 113hp engine and 36-forward/12-reverse speed transmission. With new bonnet and ‘family’ styling the X50.50 with air-conditioning, telescopic hitch and electronic lift control retails for €58,000 incl. VAT.
New from WJ Leahy Engineering at Millstreet was this robust looking land leveller incorporating a row of hydraulically adjustable triple-k tines. William says it’s ideal for horse gallops, roadways and general farm use. It is priced at €1,700 incl. VAT.
This is the first show for fledgling firm VA Feed Systems from Co. Wicklow. Among the products it displayed was this Canadian/US Valmetal, self-propelled bale unroller. Powered by a 9hp Honda engine and hydrostatic drive, the Bale Unroller is said to be capable of loading and unrolling a 4x4 silage bale. The unit is priced at €7,500 plus VAT.
New from Rotech at Millstreet was the Cube MC Lite fuel pump (on very left), which is a 70 litre/min pump with a simple security pad so only authorized users can access diesel and totals of each user can be monitored. The retail price of the unit is €990 plus VAT.
Steve O’Meara of RockFit Technologies Ltd, Shannon Co. Clare was on hand at the Millstreet event to demonstrate his firm’s range of Irish manufactured LED lighting systems. Steve has been very successful with his very robust lighting packages and supplies to several OEM’s including Malone, Samco, Cross Engineering, Big Bale North (&South) and Claydon. Steve confirmed that he has just signed a deal with Danish agricultural machinery manufacturer Kongskilde to supply it with 6,000 full light

Recently introduced to Ireland by GES-Green Equipment Supplies is this Moroni Kronos power-harrow. This is a 3-metre power harrow with twelve rotors and is said to be suitable for tractors up to 200hp. It is available with bolt-on or quick-fit tines and is priced at €10,000 plus VAT.

Pictured is the new JCB 413S Agri loader at Millstreet which replaces the out-going 412S. With more power the 413S features JCB’s new 4.8-litre JCB Ecomax T4 engine which develops 145hp and 560Nm torque. It features a 6-speed transmission, LSD axles, load-sensing variable output hydraulic pump capable of supplying 156-litres/min. There is also a High-Lift option giving 6% more load-over height than the standard machine.
Pictured is Eddie English of Industrial and Farm Machines (IFM), Dunleer, Co Louth which is Fuchs lubricants agent for the country. IFM is soon to launch this 20 litre more environmentally friendly oil packaging. The oil is contained within a flexible ‘bag’ inside the box and will initially be available in two oil types, Fuchs 10W30 Super Tractor Oil Plus and Fuchs 15W40 long drain (E7)engine oil.
On Michael Hurley Farm Machinery’s stand at Millstreet was the new Honda TRX450 ATV. Available with either mechanical or electrical gear-shifting, the TRX420 features new styling, a repositioned fuel tank filling point, new rear axle plus some changes to the positioning of major electrical components. Retail price of the TRX420FM (mechanical gear-shift) pictured is €8,299 incl. VAT. The Electrical shift TRX450FE version retails for €8,699 incl. VAT.
Cork firm MP Crowley (Cork) Ltd were recently appointed southern agents for the Faresin range of telescopic loaders. The firm is offering the Faresin 632, a 6-metre reach machine with 3.2 tonne lifting capacity with shear grab, pallet forks and bucket for €63,000 plus VAT. Powering the 632 is a 130hp Iveco engine; the machine is fitted with Carraro axles and Danfoss hydraulic systems.
Volker Städter from Finnish firm Dynaset said that there was interest in the Dynaset products at the Millstreet event. The hydraulically driven welder/generator at the very right of the picture retails for €1,200 incl. VAT. Another product which drew significant interest was the firms hydraulically driven dirty water pump which retails for €1,200 plus VAT.
Adrian Thorpe of TMS-Thorpe Machinery Sales, is now BVL feeder diet feeder wagon agent for Ireland. The German firm BVL manufactures a range of diet feeders including a self-propelled version and variants fitted with straw blowers. Adrian (087-2490968) is currently looking for dealers through the country.
Noel Delaney of Delaney Agricultural Machinery, Borris-In-Ossory, Co. Laois is importer of the Polish manufactured Akpil range of agricultural machinery. New is this Akpil X CX 3-metre disc cultivator with Akpil electrically driven seed distributor. It has a minimum horsepower requirement of 120hp and according to Noel is ideal for seeding into stubble or grass. Retail price of the cultivator is €5,500 incl. VAT while the seed applicator retails for €1,100 incl. VAT.
