New Profi 5000 replaces Faro series

Pöttinger has unveiled a new generation of smaller-capacity forage wagons within the rotor class.

Positioned below its current Jumbo range and set to replace the Faro model lineup is the new Profi 5000.

With eight models, the Profi 5000 ranges in capacity from 26m3 to 52m3.

The Profi 5000 is equipped with a 2.1m wide pendulum pickup as standard. From here, crop is passed back to a 31-knife chopping unit via a double-tine rotor. Theoretical chop length is 45mm, while knife thickness has been reduced from 5mm to 4mm, resulting in a 10% reduction in power requirement, according to the Austrian manufacturer. The Easy Move swing-out knife bank and central release knife system is fitted as standard. The standard automatic loading system distributes the loading power evenly.

Meanwhile, optimum filling of the Profi range is ensured by a large moveable forage compression flap in the fixed panel at the front of the chamber.

A stepless motor works with the automatic unloading system and controls the rear door and floor.

The Profi 5000 is fitted with a 13-tonne chassis and 710/35 R22.5 tyres. A reverse camera is an optional extra.

Boss 5000 Master for smaller farms

The Boss 5000 Master features a new in-house designed Evomatic tine conveyor loading system.

Pöttinger has also introduced a new Boss 5000 range, available in five sizes from 29m3 to 45m3. Set to replace the Primo range, the Boss 5000 has received a number of new features including a new 5% larger loading chamber and a 2.1m pickup. A new in-house developed Evomatic automatic tine conveyor loading unit offers all the advantages and the capacity of a rotor unit. This equates to a 25% higher loading performance when compared to previous designs of tine conveyor loading wagons.

The Boss 5000 Master model features the Easy Move fold-out knife bank with either 16 or 31 knives.

Similar to the new Profi 5000, the Boss 5000 Master is also offered with a 13t chassis and a larger 710/35 R22.5 tyre option.

The new larger Boss 5000 sits above the current Boss 2000 and 3000 models as the highest-performing tine conveyor forage wagon, suiting select markets. The Boss 5000 is available with in a Discharge Beater (DB) configuration to suit specific markets and customer requirements.

New Novacat 4m trailed mower

The Novacat T 4m trailed mower is available with steel tine or rubber roller conditioners.

While the large majority of manufacturers have turned their focus to the mounted mower market, Pöttinger has developed a new 4m Novacat T trailed model.

It stated that certain markets such as the Northern American market has requested a larger 4m version of its existing trailed 3m and 3.5m Novacat T mower models.

The latest Novacat T models are available in both plain and conditioner formats and with either its latest generation roller conditioner (RC) or the proven steel tine (ED) conditioner option. On all versions, power is transmitted from the cutter bar gearbox to the conditioner by V-belts with a spring-loaded belt tensioner.

While the mower is mounted via the tractor’s lower linkage using a swivel gearbox, a pickup hitch attachment has been developed for North America.

Working debut for new six-row Puro precision drill

The Puro 3000 is a six-row precision planter features 68l seed hoppers and an optional 1,300l fertilsier hopper.

Pöttinger also showcased its latest Puro H 3000 precision drill, following successful pre-series trials this spring. Series production is set to begin for the 2027 planting season.

The six-row planter has been designed for the precision sowing of crops such as maize, with a working width of up to 4.5 metres and a transport width of three metres.

Pöttinger says that the Puro H 3000 is suited for tractors of 90hp and above and features a horizontal transport position via a telescopic toolbar.

Other features include precise seed placement through a pneumatic metering system and dual disc coulters.

Mechanical seed-metering is offered as standard, with electric metering planned as an option to enable features such as section control and variable-rate application.

The unit features a high-capacity 68l seed hoppers and an optional 1,300l fertiliser hopper to maximise productivity. The new Puro includes a simple changeover between different crop types, ergonomic operation and adjustable fertiliser placement.
