The large machinery auction held by Mid Ulster Auctions on behalf of Fermanagh-based agricultural contractor JN Contracts ended on Tuesday 19 January. As we reported last week, the timed online sale commenced on Friday 15 January at 9am. There was a total of 95 lots catalogued for auction as bidding opened. The majority of lots consisted of modern grass- and slurry-related equipment. Also included in the sale were 15 tractors, eight John Deere, three New Hollands, three Massey Ferguson and a small compact tractor.
We followed the auction online as each lot came to a close on Tuesday, taking note of the prices some of the major lots closed up on. Commission was due to be charged at 15% on lots up to £5,000, 10% on lots between £5,001 and £10,000 and 2.5% on all hammer prices in excess of £10,001. All commissions were subject to VAT.
Below are some of the highlight machines that were set to be sold in the auction and the associated prices that they closed on as all lots timed out in one minute intervals. All prices quoted are exclusive of VAT, commission and delivery charges. For reference we have also included prices in euro (€1.12 = £1).
