Over 140 bulls and 13 heifers are catalogued for the Midland and Western Livestock Improvement Society’s multibreed sale of pedigree cattle in Carrick-on-Shannon on Saturday 6 June.

Comprising 65 Angus, 40 Charolais, 30 Limousin and a small number of Simmental, Hereford and Shorthorn bulls, the sale is sure to have something for everyone.

Many of the cattle will be export-eligible with direct export to Northern Ireland available on the day.

Auctioneer Francis McGowan will kicks things off at 11.30am, with bidding ringside and online through MartBids.

As one of the last pedigree bull sales until autumn, the sale offers farmers a final opportunity to acquire a bull for the breeding season. A catalogue for the sale is available at midlandwesternlivestock.com. For any other queries contact Lourda McGowan on 086 3883112.

The Midland and Western Livestock Improvement Society has also released its dates for the 2026 Winter Fair. On Monday 16 November, the show and sale of senior cattle and weanling bulls will take place, with the show and sale of weanling heifers taking center stage on Sunday 22 and Monday 23 November.
