Irish solar farm developer Power Capital Renewable Energy has announced a new partnership to accelerate the expansion of renewable energy projects across Ireland.
The company, one of the country’s largest developers of solar farms and battery storage projects, has partnered with private equity firm Omnes and asset management company Infranity. It now has a plant to deliver more than 5GW of solar PV and battery energy storage system projects nationwide.
Power Capital Renewable Energy currently operates 1GW of solar farms, with an additional 330MW under construction. This latest announcement further cements its position as a leading player in Ireland’s solar and battery storage industry.
Assets
Omnes is a private equity firm focused on the energy transition, managing over €6.7 billion in assets. Infranity is a specialist asset management company with €12.5 billion in assets under management on behalf of institutional investors as of June 2025.
The transaction was signed at the end of July and closing is expected by the end of September 2025 once the required approvals are obtained.
